Last day of Summer! Where is the time going?

Hi There!

So sad it is the last day of Summer... But I am looking forward to cooler days and the change of colours in nature, especially the yellows, oranges and reds in certain tree leaves.

What are your favourite things about the cooler weather?

This month in my studio... I have been keeping myself busy creating some new Fairy Doors with lots of colour and magic! My favourite so far is the Enchanted Autumn Fairy Door with its orange mushrooms and golden tone wood-look Door (See the photo below or even better jump over to the Enchanted Items VIP page to see the new Fairy Doors as I make them...

Please feel free to share any colour or theme suggestions for Fairy Doors that you would like to see! I always love hearing from you! You can do this by emailing me or by jumping over to my Facebook pages...

Oh have you seen my New shop? You can now find Enchanted items over at madeit.com. It was sad to say goodbye to my shop over at Love Australia Handmade, they are no longer hosting an Australian online shop... but as the saying goes 'as one door closes, another door opens'.

I've been happy with Madeit.com so far, as it is a similar concept to Love Australian Handmade... where you can buy Australian Handmade goodies, like an Australian Etsy.

Love for you to jump over and have a peek.

I do a 'Happy Fairy Dance' whenever someone makes a purchase... always so grateful that someone shares the love of fairies and magic...

Recently I had a customer purchase a Fairy Door on my shop, who left a beautiful review that brought tears to my eyes...

"The Artist of this store is a true Fairy of Joy! That is a special human to produce the most life like, neat and intricate work I have seen out of clay. If you think they look beautiful online, wait until you see one in real life, the shimmers, the pearls and the real magic that beams.

Thank you so much."

It came at a time when self doubt crept in. Unfortunately, I am an artist that suffers from this self doubt and always questions myself... I do hate this part of myself, but I'm getting better and showing more confidence in my work and myself as a person, especially to my young Son and Daughter.

"One kind word can change someone's entire day"

Other things happening out of my studio... Been busy with other household projects this month, I revamped my herb garden, planted more herbs and laid down my household compost consisting of veggie scraps... A vine started growing in the herb garden, not sure what it is but my best guess is that it is pumpkin. Must be from my compost... just have to wait and see if it fruits. I will keep you posted.

I have also done an up-cycle project. I have a cabinet my Father made about 40 years ago and have revamped it giving it new life. Heaps of sanding, some chalk paint, new handles and ta-da! It is now the pride of place in my kitchen area. See a photo below.

You can read more about these little projects over at my Enchanted Items VIP Facebook group.
